In her illustrious filmography, actress Sridevi has played several iconic roles and has been part of many blockbusters. She also rejected quite a number of films which went to become big hits. Of all such films, there are 2 films in particular, which fans wished she had not turned down.
In 1993, when Sridevi was at the peak of her career, renowned Hollywood director Steven Spielberg approached her to play a role in his magnum opus, ‘Jurassic Park’. Feeling that the short role wouldn’t justify her stature, Sridevi reportedly turned down the big offer. We all know how big a worldwide blockbuster Jurassic Park became. Sridevi might have got a chance to make her mark in Hollywood too had she accepted the Spielberg film.
The second magnum opus Sridevi missed was ‘Baahubali’. She was the initial choice of Rajamouli to essay the powerful character of Sivagami, but the veteran diva spilled the opportunity. Baahubali could have become the towering finale to her filmography.
