MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi filed a quash petition in the high court, requesting for dismissal of all the cases filed against him in different police stations.
He also requested the court to direct the police not to arrest him.
Meanwhile, Akbaruddin summoned by the Nirmal police for investigation into his inflammatory speech against Hinduism and Hindu gods reportedly sought 4 days time. Stating that he was unwell, he has pointed out that he went to London only for treatment.
He sent two lawyers to represent him to Nirmal. They asked the police to give time for four days to the MLA on health grounds.
Akbar’s lawyers who appeared before the Nirmal police avoided the media. They managed to escape the attention of the large group of media persons gathered at the police station.
