There has been an alarming rise in live sex streaming on the Indian internet scene, especially in South Indian cities like Bengaluru and Hyderabad. This worldwide $1 billion business has now seeped into the mainstream Indian web and is spreading its tentacles swiftly.
Live streaming is a three-way business, where a person (male or female) who’s willing to make some quick money, meets his or her potential clients in adult chat rooms or on porn sites and offer them nude video and erotic audio calls on WhatsApp, Skype or Hangouts etc.
Married couples, sexually unsatisfied males and females, college students and even transgenders and transvestites are making a killing out of live streaming. Each 1 hour session comprising live sex and other sexual acts like masturbation on camera and erotic voice chats may charge a desperate client anywhere between Rs 1,500 to Rs 3,000. The money is mostly transferred via PayTm.
People who offer this ‘erotic entertainment’ are either in need of money or simply do it for fun. On the other hand, gullible customers are getting addicted to watching live streamings and are losing money while some even undergo psychological treatment to get over their addiction.
All the people who indulge in erotic streamings usually cover their faces and use different mobile numbers to conceal their identities. The earnings could vary from females and males. While a female can earn anywhere from Rs 1,500 to 3,000 per hour, a male can earn from Rs 500 up to Rs 1,500 for an hour’s streaming.
Interestingly, cyber crime police authorities are unable to keep a check to this rampant menace as no one would come forward to register a complaint for obvious reasons.
