One success changes fortunes forever. Ask this hot lady, anchor Syamala, and she’s quick with reply. “I’m entertaining on small-screen from years, with small roles in TV serials and hosting shows. But the way couple of movies have catapulted me into limelight is amazing”, avers Syamala, who is running high with the super success of Loukyam and then Oka Laila Kosam. After playing heroine’s sister in Loukyam, Syamala got noticed and then her act as sister of Naga Chaitanya in Oka Laila Kosam won attention.
“I’m not confident about acting for silver screen. But director Vijay Konda convinced me to take up Oka Laila Kosam offer and then explained the difference between TV and cinema. That helped me deliver the best”, she adds. Is she just limited to these sister roles or having any plans like Anasuya to become a solo heroine? “
Already many producers approached me for item numbers in big flicks, which I’m not game for. I can’t seriously turn an item lady”, Syamala states. Calling that her mother is her pillar of strength before getting married, she revealed that her mother-in-law and husband’s support has led her to where she is standing now. “I owe to my family a lot. As I got a family-image on silver screen too, I’ll continue to take up roles in that direction”, she signed off.
