Apple fixes Telugu character bug – GNA

When the users of Apple found that the usage of a Telugu character GNA (జ్ఞ) is either crashing or rebooting their mobile, they all started to complain about it as a bug. In fact, it’s widely spread as a ‘text bomb’ as it affected all the Apple devices like iPads, MacBooks, iPhone and Apple TV.

Some miscreants across the world have misused this bug/error in Apple to cause trouble to social media platforms, private messaging and even Uber application. But, finally, the Cupertino-headquartered company has fixed it through the latest software update.

Even in the past, Apple encountered such software glitches and later fixed all. Some of them include a meaningless word in Arabic, white flag and a rainbow emoji. A team of developers working for ‘The Aloha Web Browser’ first identified this bug on 12th February and it later spread across.

The word GNA has not just impacted the messaging app on an Apple device, but also affected the third party services like Whatsapp, Facebook Messenger, Twitter, Gmail and Outlook. But, the bug had no impact on Telegram and Skype app, as per a report published by Verge. Now that the issue is fixed, Apple users can now seemlessly use the bug word.
