Baahubali 2 Will Be Studied For Those Tricks

Other day the news of Baahubali 2 being taken up as a ‘Case Study’ at IIM Ahmedabad has made the fans of this film quite jubilant. But in no time, discussions also erupted everywhere between fans of various and films, as some claimed that Baahubali is superior to everything and everyone.

Baahubali 2 is the biggest Indian hit so far and there are no two thoughts about it. But this ‘case study’ is not about the greatness of the film, it’s visual appeal or the director’s vision. Neither they are going to study Prabhas, Rana and Anushka.

Fans think it’s about Prabhas, Rana and Anushka, but in fact, it is about numbers. Yes, it is a Marketing Case Study for management grads explaining the power of a sequel. As the strategy of release sequel films is quite rare in Indian cinemas, Baahubali 1 and 2 opened new avenues. So now, IIM Ahmedabad want to create their own detailed analysis of it.

Though there are films like Krish which have a couple of sequels much before Baahubali itself, actually this ‘case study’ will focus on the kind of tricks the makers undertook to get huge attention for the film. Thereby it is being derived that an investment on a  film will be at lower risk if a sequel is planned as the income netted by the second film will always be a bonus.

That is the reason Baahubali 2 will be studied for now, but not for heroes, heroines and director.
