The Rayalaseema region in Andhra Pradesh has been famous for two things- arid lands and factionism. There was a time when faction feuds rose so high that killing and gang fights became very common and death tolls were mounting high. The deaths of Paritala Ravi and Maddelacheruvu Suri changed the equations.
However, a new dawn is rising in Rayalaseema. Though the presence of factionists is still large, it is heard that their focus has shifted. All have fallen on development and the reason for that are rapid changes after the bifurcation. The scope for heavy investments in Rayalaseema has widened due to the regions proximity with big cities like Chennai and Bangalore.
When such things come in then violence and clashes will reduce. Everybody will focus on business and a corporate look will come. As a result, the factionists are looking at various options of how to bring development to their area. Well, it looks like this is one big positive outcome of the bifurcation and to the Seema people who were feeling bad about Vijayawada being nominated as the capital, this is a much better gift.
