Earlier on, there were reports doing the rounds that Kangana Ranaut has taken over the historical epic ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ after director Krish stepped down from the project. There were reports suggesting that it was a temporary arrangement as the filmmaker was busy with other projects. However, it seems like the reasons for the shift in reins is not so benign after all.
According to reports, there are sources close to the film that claim that Krish was pushed out of the project by the actress.Apparently, she first muscled her way into writing, then direction and it reached a point where she was telling the actors what to do.
Krish being an experienced filmmaker down South did not take this well and allegedly walked out of the project “out of humiliation”.Reportedly, this is not the first time that Kangana has pulled off something like this.Even when ‘Simran’ came out, there were similar reports doing the rounds of her taking over the writing and direction of the film from Hansal Mehta.
Meanwhile, the makers are striving to release the movie on time on January 25th, 2018.
