Ex Home Minister & late Madhava Reddy’s son Sandeep Reddy is all set to join TRS. Sandeep is going to join the TRS on Dec 14 in the presence of TRS supremo and CM KCR. While Sandeep’s joining in TRS is confirmed, there had been speculations that Uma Madhava Reddy, wife of Madhava Reddy and Sandeep’s mother, too following the suit. Confirming the speculations, Uma announced her future political plans.
Uma Madhava Reddy, who is one of the strong leaders in Telangana TDP, confirmed that she would join TRS. She joined politics after her husband and former Home Minister was killed in land blasts by Naxals in 2000. Uma, however, said that it is painful but the decision has been taken keeping her followers in the mind.
Ever since Revanth quit TDP and joined Congress, there have been rumours that she would join Congress along with Revanth. In fact, Uma too later confirmed that she hasn’t joined as she didn’t get call from the Congress and said she would had joined had she got an invite from the Congress. Meanwhile, it is learnt that TRS has invited Uma Madhava Reddy and she has given her consent.
This is yet another major set back to Telangana TDP that is already ailing in the region.
