Tamil actor Mahat Raghavendra has filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Telugu actor Manchu Manoj for allegedly assaulting him at a party held in Chennai. According to the complaint, the incident took place in the early hours of Sunday, July 8, in a party. Mahat has claimed that Manoj and three of his friends have beaten him up without even telling him what the issue was about. “I was assaulted by these men for several minutes. I was hit on my face, my stomach and my lower body. I was severely threatened after getting hit by Mr. Manoj, saying that my death was in his hands and that he would go to any extent to use his influence to have me killed” a reputed English newspaper which claimed to have got a copy of the FIR has quoted him as saying.
However, Manoj, his brother Vishnu and Sister Lakshmi Prasanna have all said that it was a small misunderstanding which was settled. They however did not deny the incident. Manoj said he and Mahat have been friends since ages and would continue to be.
