The name that comes to mind when high profile scam cases like Satyam Scam, Gali Janardhan Reddy’s mining scam or YS Jagan’s disproportionate assets scam are discussed, is none other than, the then CBI Joint Director Lakshminarayana.
Apparently, the senior IPS officer VV Lakshminarayana requested the government for a voluntary retirement some time ago such that he could plunge into active politics. There is also rumour that he will be joining Pawan Kalyan’s Janasena and that is condemned by both the parties.
Latest update is that finally, Maharashtra and also Central government approved his decision as of retirement. When contacted by media to give info about it, Lakshminarayana said, “I became free”. However, he clarified that nothing is confirmed about his political entry and once things are clear then he will inform everyone about it.
Rumours have that Lakshmi Narayana want to float his own political party and then will align with the likes of some big parties like a Telugudesam or YSR Congress. Sources close to him haven’t ruled out the option of joining hands with Janasena as well.
Being 1990 batch IPS officer, Lakshmi Narayana has another 7 years of career left but to serve the society much better, he’s said to have taken this call. Watch this space for updates.
