The season of biopic has literally come to Tollywood after “Mahanati” release and soon we will see each film on late Chief Ministers of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh state, NT Rama Rao and YS Rajasekhar Reddy. While Balayya is coming up with “NTR”, director Mahi V Raghav is carving “Yaatra” basing on YSR’s padayaatra of 2003 which later voted him to power.
Coming to the star cast of “Yaatra”, already Malayalam superstar Mammootty is essaying the role of YSR and his getup from the first look is terrific. At the same time, the likes of Posani is playing YSR’s personal assistant Sureedu, while Baahubali fame Ashrita will be as YS Vijayamma. Here is another interesting update about the film.
We hear that Pawan Kalyan’s “Kushi” heroine Bhumika Chawla is all set to play the role of YSR’s daughter Sharmila. During the times of Yaatra, both YS Jagan and Sharmila played some crucial roles of taking care of their dad and that is going to be reflected inside the film, says a source.
Already Bhumika has stunned Telugu audiences after her re-entry with “MCA” and will be seen soon in films like “Savyasachi”. And this biopic will be her second biopic where she’s playing a sister’s role after she played cricketer MS Dhoni’s sibling in “MS Dhoni” movie.
