That’s the audio launch function of “Karu” movie in Chennai, which happens to be the first ever Tamil film of Sai Pallavi in a lead role. Though she acted as a sidekick in a couple of films way back in 2008, none remember that in the first case neither recognise her.
Surprising thing is that the hero of her first Tamil flick Karu, which is being released as Kanam in Telugu, is missing at the audio launch. Directed by heroine Amala Paul’s ex-husband AL Vijay, the film should mark the debut of Naga Shourya in Kollywood but his absence is proving many things here.
Earlier in his interviews, while promoting Chalo movie, Shourya opened up some things about “Kanam” movie where he criticising Sai Pallavi’s craze and unnecessary involvement in a film’s making. Some say that as the total story revolves around Sai Pallavi and her four-year child, Shourya is upset that his character got sidelined. Probably for that reason he might have skipped the audio launch.
And then, is not the responsibility of the director and producer to include both hero and heroine in the promotions? They say, for the makers, Sai Pallavi is more important as the film is being released in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam while Shourya is a known face only here in Tollywood.
