Hero doubles endorsement fee to Rs 6 cr?

Ranbir Kapoor has reportedly doubled his brand endorsement fee after the blockbuster success of his recent film, Sanju.The actor will, however, carefully choose the brands he wants to partner with and will shoot several commercials in the next few weeks.The report on DNA quotes a source as saying, “Ranbir has almost doubled his remuneration in the brand space. He is quite popular among the youth. While none of his failures deterred his brand value, his latest hit has only bettered it.”

According to a report on Rediff.com, Ranbir charges between Rs 3 crore to Rs 3.5 crore for a day’s work on commercials, which would increase his new quote to at least Rs 6 crore per day.According to Rediff, the actor currently endorses brands such as Asian Paints, Pepsi, Panasonic, Renault, Flipkart, Macroman, Saavn, and Hero MotoCorp.Vijay Subramaniam, co-CEO of KWAN, the company that manages Ranbir, said, “Ranbir has mostly 10 brands (endorsements) at any given time and this makes him quite exclusive.”

Ranbir increased fee is still not enough for him to be considered the most valuable Indian celebrity.According to a report by Duff & Phelps, cricketer Virat Kohli tops the list with a brand value of $144 million (Rs 912 crore), followed by Shah Rukh Khan ($106 million, Rs 678 crore) and Deepika Padukone ($93 million, Rs 595 crore).Before Sanju, which has made over Rs 500 crore worldwide, Ranbir had starred in 2016’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

He will reunite with Wake Up Sid director Ayan Mukerji next on Brahmastra, which also stars his girlfriend Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan. He is also doing Yash Raj’s Shamshera.
