In a shocking incident 25 year old Australian cricketer Phil Hughes who is expected to replace injured captain Michael Clarke, was critical battling for life after being hit by a bouncer on head. Hughes is now in an induced come and doctors at St Vincen’t hospital are conducting surgery on his head.
Michael Clarke rushed in to the hospital while BCCI wished him speedy recovery. The incident happened when Sean Abbott fired a vicious bouncer and Phil Hughes who was in full flow after scoring 63 runs tried to pull it to the boundary.
However he missed it and the ball hit his head in a Sheffield Shield Match. He stood dazed for some seconds and crashed with his face hitting the pitch. Umpires and New South Wales players rushed to the pitch and at once there comes the helicopter ambulances and rushed him to the hospital.
