A Tamilian, character artiste Sudha was well-received by our audiences and the industry. She was given huge remuneration and pampered her quite a bit. Over the years, she got to play many mother, sister and sister-in-law roles which were author backed. After enjoying success for a very long time, Sudha suddenly went off the radar.
Though she is seen in one odd roles, she is no longer a regular in the industry. When she came down for a shooting at the Film City, we caught up with her and asked why she cut down on her roles. “I got very busy in Tamil and Malayalam. A lot of new faces have entered the industry. But I still do big films here. I putting on weight and suffering from ill health are rumours,” says Sudha who still retains her sweet smile.
