Many blamed mega-producer Dil Raju for not spending heavily on “Lover” promotions. At the same time, his direct revelation that they have spent hugely on the film as the story has demanded despite Raj Tarun’s market is yet to cemented, have created a commotion.
Fact is that Dil Raju has guessed the film’s result in a right way. He knows that other than the colourful visuals and couple of scenes, there is not much soul inside the movie which could bind the viewers to the screens. A source revealed that Dil Raju saved 1 crore from getting waste with his tactic.
While the film is made in 8 crores budget, they should have spent easily 1 crore to promote it on various platforms. But Dil Raju invested only a meager amount for promotions and saved almost one crore for his company. Going by the box office talk, the whole investment is likely to get whitewashed.
Film experts are opining that Raju has made a wise move by not investing much in promotions. But he should have taken more care as a producer by not allowing the film to slip into an unlimited budget mode.
