Recently when Samikyandhra Cong MPs met Cong High Command leaders Vayalar Ravi and Gulam Nabi Azad to stress the importance of keeping Andhra Pradesh united, they were stumped when they got the question as to why there was no Samaikyandhra moment unlike in Telangana where separate state moment is on fire. They were left searching for answers and the message for them is loud and clear that unless the moment and feeling is strong, formation of telangana is inevitable. But many feel Jai Andhra moment is dividing samaikyandrha.
Many are of the opinion that unlike the people of telangana, who are settling for nothing less than telangana, coastal Andhra and rayalaseema regions are asking separate states for themselves conveniently giving centre numerous options rather than presenting united front. Even recently Andhra JAC in the leadership of Vasantha Nageswara Rao and Sunkara Krishnamurthy organized a rally from Itavaram to Nandigama at Krishna district seeking formation of Jai Andhra. During this time Lagadapati Rajagopal’s supporters stopped the organizers and started campaigning for Samaikyandhra.
Watching all these developments many feel that unless until the politicians and people of coastal and rayalaseema regions highlight their feelings for samaikyandhra, center will carve telagana according to its wishes.
