Not many were aware of Radhika Kumaraswamy until a few days ago. But now, she is Google India’s most searched celebrity for the last week by pipping all other celebs. You have guessed it right, Radhika is Karnataka’s soon to be Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy’s wife.
31-year-old Radhika was a popular actress in the Kannada film industry. She stepped into movies when she was 16 and acted in nearly 30 movies, including a couple of Telugu movies and also produced a couple of Kannada films. She had paired with almost all the leading Sandalwood heroes.
Radhika fell in love with 58-year-old HD Kumaraswamy, who’s also a noted film producer, and tied the knot in 2006. The couple has a daughter named Shamika Kumaraswamy. Radhika and HD Kumaraswamy’s marriage was a well-kept secret. It was only after Kumaraswamy had a major fallout with actress and Congress leader Ramya that Ramya spilled the beans about Kumaraswamy’s bigamy in 2010.
Following the recent political consequences in Karnataka, Radhika Kumaraswamy’s name splashed all over the internet. Apart from India, Radhika’s name was among Google’s most searched celebs in countries like Qatar, UAE, Kuwait and Sri Lanka.
