Lokesh doesn’t believe Revanth leaving TDP!

Andhra Pradesh IT minister and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh is also the national general secretary of the Telugu Desam Party.

Yet, he does not seem to have any idea of his party MLA in Telangana A Revanth Reddy making attempts to leave the TDP.

He doesn’t believe the reports that the Telangana TDP working president had meetings with top leaders of the Congress party in Delhi.

“No, these reports are not correct. I don’t believe Revanth has any plans to quit the TDP and join the Congress. He has never mentioned to me that he has intentions to leave the TDP,” Lokesh told media on Wednesday.

Asked about Revanth’s meetings with the Congress high command in Delhi, Lokesh said the Telangana TDP leader told him that he had gone to Delhi to have a meeting with a lawyer.

“Don’t ask my reactions on speculative reports,” he advised media persons.

It clearly shows lack of political maturity for Lokesh. No leader would announce well in advance that he would be quitting his party to join the rival party.

Even Kurnool MP Butta Renuka still says she is a YSR Congress party MP, though she openly met Naidu and extended her support to the TDP government.

In fact, Revanth has given enough hints that he would be quitting the TDP, as he made some serious comments against the Seemandhra TDP leaders and their corrupt deals with the TRS government in Telangana. He even declared that the TDP had no future in Telangana.

What more is required for Lokesh to understand Revanth’s strategy?
