If we observe Superstar Mahesh Babu’s filmography in the last couple of years, there is one striking similarity, Tamil cinematographers.
Santosh Sivan (Spyder), KV Guhan (Aagadu, Dookudu, SVSC), Madhie (Srimanthudu), Ratnavelu (Nenokkadine, Brahmotsavam), and Ravi K Chandran & Tirru (Bharat Ane Nenu) – all these top Tamil cinematographers have worked for Mahesh’s films.
For a change, makers of Mahesh Babu’s prestigious 25th film have now roped in a Bollywood lensman. Ace cinematographer K.U. Mohanan, who has canned several visually stunning films including Shah Rukh Khan’s Don, Raees and Jab Harry Met Sejal, and Aamir Khan’s Talaash, has been roped in to crank camera for Mahesh and Vamsi Paidipally’s film, tentatively referred as #Mahesh25.
Mohanan, who has his origins in Kerala, works predominantly in Bollywood, and is ranked among some of the finest lensmen working in Indian film industry.
Starring Pooja Hegde as leading lady, Mahesh25 will be jointly produced by Dil Raju and Ashwini Dutt. Major part of the film will be shot in the US.
