In a tragic incident that happened in state of Rajasthan, 33 people were killed after the bus they were traveling fell off into the Banas river near Dubbi village of Sawai Madhopur district.
Going into the news, incident took place around 6:30 AM in the morning while the bus was traveling from Madya Pradesh to Uttar Pradesh. Also, initial Police reports suggested that the driver was a minor and the owner of bus was taken into custody. Only 7 people, who knew swimming, out of 40 travelers were survived and getting treated in a hospital. The rest of people (22 men, 8 women and 3 children) were drowned deep inside the water.
An ex gratia of 2 lakhs was announced by Rajasthan government for the bereaved and 50,000 to the injured. The police have registered a case under section 304-A of IPC against bus driver, who also lost his life in this accident.
