Looks like ‘politics’ has turned out to be the favorite theme for Tollywood filmmakers lately. Upcoming biggies Rangasthalam and Bharat Ane Nenu are set in political backdrop. Nandamuri Kalyan Ram also joins the list with MLA – Manchi Lakshanalunna Abbayi.
Although the caption suggests different meaning, MLA is truly a political entertainer with a serious political theme.Hero challenging the villain and jumping into politics to take away his power seems to be the plot of MLA.
There is so much focus on politics in the 105 seconds trailer that it didn’t have space for other elements in it. Even the comedy and action in the trailer revolved around politics. The setup looks interesting but the trailer doesn’t show much promise with routine hero-villain confrontation and nothing more.
We have to wait for the full feature to see whether it has something more to it. MLA is arriving to theaters on March 23.The film features Kajal Agarwal as the female lead and Ravi Kishan as the main villain. It is directed by Upendra Madhav and produced by Bharat Chowdary and Kiran Reddy.
