Union Minister for Urban Development, M.Venkaiah Naidu had bitter experience in Spain. Venkaiah Naidu who had been in Spain to inaugurate “Smart City Expo World Congress” on the invitation of Xavier Trias, Mayor of Barcelona and address at the meeting received shock when he found his bag stolen.
Barcelona is notorious for pickpocketing and he found that in bitter way when the bag containing his passport and other belongings was stolen from the hotel lobby where he was staying. Entire world came to know about the incident after Naidu’s twitter account came with a tweet.
Somebody stole bag containing my passport along with other documents in the lobby of hotel where I was staying at Barcelona.Later the passport was found on the street a few yards away from the hotel but no trace of other documents and bag.
Official who managed the minister’s account shared the information. Later the tweets were removed. It cameout that even passport of OSD of Naidu was stolen. Both flew back after Indian Embassy intervened.
