Nehra, who is retiring from all forms of cricket, got a grand farewell as India thrashed New Zealand by a record 53 runs. Interestingly, this is India’s first T20 victory against New Zealand. India has outwitted Kiwis in all three areas – batting, bowling and fielding. Thus it became a historic moment too. Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in New Delhi became the witness for this great cricket.
After the match, Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan carried Nehra on their shoulders and gave him a perfect send-off.
Speaking about Nehra’s retirement, Kohli said he knows how hard Nehra had worked and he deserved this kind of farewell with crowd cheering for him.
