US police fired at a 12 year old boy killing him after he waved at them with the gun in his hand at a play ground after he was asked to raise his hands in Cleaveland. The boy named Tamir Rice died of wounds on Sunday after being fired at, a day earlier.
Officer fired at the boy twice according to deputy chief Ed Tomba. US police reached after receiving call from anonymous person about the boy waving with the gun which he probably thought was fake. However the officers were not informed about the fake gun.
The two officers were sent on leave till the departmental inquiry as a standard procedure. The incident was reminiscent to earlier high profile car chase that resulted in officers firing 137 shots and two deaths in 2013.
