Senior hero Kamal Haasan, who had already announced his political entry, declared his retirement from films.
“Except for the two films which are coming out (Vishwaroopam 2 and Sabash Naidu), there will be no more films for me. My decision to come into politics is as I do not want to die merely as an actor,” revealed Kamal Haasan in an interview at Harvard University in Boston.
On being asked whether he would stick to politics even if he loses the elections in Tamil Nadu, Kamal said that he didn’t think he would lose. He added that his plunge into politics is an irreversible decision.
The actor-turned-politician has confirmed that he would announce his party name and its guiding principles later this month. The 63-year-old actor clarified that there won’t be any alliance with Rajinikanth if the colour of his politics is Saffron (BJP-inclined).
