YS Jagan and Vijay Sai Reddy direly need some good ideas to take on ruling TDP. In the last 4 years, Jagan and YCP have failed miserably as an Opposition party. Be it boycotting Legislative Assembly session or backing BJP in Karnataka through his close friends Gali brothers or camping in PMO and touching Modi’s feet, every move of YCP has literally backfired.
The biggest problem with Jagan Mohan Reddy is his usual response on any major issue : ‘Make me the Chief Minister, I will solve it then’. Whenever an issue is raised in front of the Jagan, either he says the above line or he prefers to use cuss language against Chandrababu Naidu. These are his two simple mantras for every problem. Instead of offering solution to problem or fighting against the government over public issues, Jagan only talks politics, nothing more or nothing less.
If this is not enough, his close aide and his charted accountant-turned-politician Vijay Sai Reddy has no better ideas. His team is now doing protests but not for any public cause or on any public issue.
Usually, a protest or a rally would be conducted demanding solution for a problem or a major public issue. Sample this, the Tuticorin movement is for anti-Sterlite against the setting up Vedanta plant which allegedly causes pollution.
Instead of questioning BJP that denied Special Category Status or Financial Assistance to Andhra Pradesh and even avoided Special Railway Zone to Visakhapatnam, Steel Plant in Kadapa besides scores of other bifurcation promises, YCP is not uttering a single word. Instead when Chandrababu and TDP are protesting against the Centre, in counter to that, YCP is staging a PROTEST against a PROTEST. Even many senior and neutral political analysts are expressing shock over YSRCP’s moves.
Protest Against Protest. Seriously?
When TDP had organized its first Dharma Porata Sabha in Tirupati on April 30, 2018 in order to expose the BJP which cheated AP by not fulfilling the poll promises made by Narendra Modi in Tirupati exactly four years ago (April 30, 2014 poll campaign speech), YSRCP shocked one and all by organizing a counter protest – Vanchana Vyatireka Deeksha in Vizag on the same day.
Instead of supporting a State Government that is fighting against Centre for rightful demands of AP, Opposition taking Centre’s side is beyond any explanation.
And countering second Dharma Porata Sabha by TDP in Vizag on May 22nd, now YSRCP has tried to do ‘cleansing’ of Ground as a counter protest to TDP’s Dharma Porata Sabha. All these are ‘politically suicidal’ moves by YCP in the view of public. Looks like, Jagan badly need some good ideas and good people to guide him. It is evident that Prashant Kishor’s ideas are not at all working in Andhra Pradesh.
