At a recent press meet, actor Rajinikanth was asked to express his opinion about #MeToo movement that is shaking the film industries pan India. The actor said that it was a really good initiative and that safety of woman is an utmost priority. He also said that the movement shouldn’t be misused by any woman just to take revenge or defame someone.
When asked about the allegations made on Varaimuthu, the lyricist, the superstar said that the lyricist has denied those allegations and as he had proofs against those accusations.On Sabarimala controversy, the actor said that ancient customs have to be followed but at the same time, no one can go against the judgment of Supreme Court.
Many other biggies from the industry are yet to respond about the issue and raise their voice against it by taking minimum rules of safety. Production houses are also setting up a committee within to take action against those people who are predators in the office.
