YSR Congress Party senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP V Vijay Sai Reddy on Thursday declared that Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu had no option but to face the jail for his acts of omissions and commissions.
Sai Reddy told media in New Delhi that the Centre was preparing to order an inquiry by the Central Bureau of Investigation into the allegations of corruption in various irrigation projects.
“Every scheme, including Polavaram, Pattiseema and AP capital construction have witnessed massive corruption. The YSRCP has been demanding a CBI probe into all these scams,” he said.
Sai Reddy demanded that Naidu must answer the questions posed by the BJP and Jana Sena which had supported the TDP in the last general election. He said that BJP MLA Vishnu Kumar Raju of late had been attacking Naidu and Lokesh for their corrupt activities.
He reminded that during the YSR government, an inquiry was ordered into the allegations on the ruling Congress in connection with Paritala Ravi’s murder and outer ring road issue. The TDP too should show similar courage of conviction and prove its innocence, the YSRCP senior leader said.
