After a decent extended first weekend, all eyes were on Shailaja Reddy Alludu’s box office performance on the crucial first Monday. However, the film crashed heavily on Monday. It has collected only 15% of its first Sunday collections, which is catastrophic since only 50% of the investments have been recovered so far.
Sailaja Reddy Alludu has almost closed its business in the overseas markets and the returns are coming only from the domestic markets. The film’s 4th day share in the Telugu states is less than 50 lakhs.

Guntur : 1.17 crores
East : 1.35 crores
West : 0.81 crores

Going by the first Monday numbers, Sailaja Reddy Alludu will now need a miracle for the buyers to get into the safe zone. All the buyers are looking at at least 30% losses, as they have acquired the film for nearly Rs 20 crores.
Needless to say that both Chay and his fans will be disappointed with the way things are turning out for Sailaja Reddy Alludu, which had shown a huge promise of becoming a solid hit in its first weekend. On the other hand, even Maruthi, who has been trying hard for that one solid hit which will give him the chance to direct a star hero, may have to wait a bit longer.
