From sometime, the buzz surrounding Savitri’s biopic “Mahanati” always had only one thing in mind. What is the role sexy seductress Samantha is playing in that film? And here comes a final clarity.
Unlike many felt that Samantha is playing the role of Jamuna in the movie, it sounds little confusing here. Because earlier none other than Keerthi Suresh who is playing Mahanati’s role has revealed that Samantha will be seen as Jamuna. But now, an official confirmation from the team says that the Akkineni daughter in law will be seen as Film Journalist Madhuravani who starts writing about Saavitri in a journal.
As per some insider stuff, Shalini Pandey will be seen as Jamuna in this film being directed by Nag Ashwin. That reminds many of Titanic movie where a survivor (not a real life one) recalls the moments that happened to the ship in its tragic last hours. Maybe Samantha will be narrating about Savitri in the same manner to the audiences.
Being produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, the film has Mohan Babu, Prakash Raj, Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Devarkonda and Naga Chaitanya in other key roles. As the release is set for May 9th, we have to see how the makers are going to surprise with this film’s teaser and trailers very soon.
