Just few months ago, Samantha was deemed as the luckiest heroine as she was selected to play the female lead in Mani Ratnam’s Kadhal, in which yesteryear actor, Karthik’s son Gautam is playing the main lead. But all of sudden, she had announced that she opted out of the project due to dates problem.
But our sources in Kollywood tells us that the reason is different. Samantha (27) looked much older to Gautham (19) and the character she plays in the film is just 13! Samantha’s mature looks was a concern for Mani and cinematographer Rajeev Menon. hence they had decided to rope in the pretty young Thulasi (14) whose innocence and cute looks suits the character. Now Thulasi will be groomed and will be ready to shoot by July.
