Until a decade ago, Telugu actress Shakeela was known as a sex bomb who ruled the Malayalam film industry. There was a time when even legendary Malayali stars like Mohanlal and Mammootty too had to postpone their films due to strong box-office run of Shakeela films. The actress quit the soft porn films in 2000 and entered mainstream films acting with Teja’s Jayam.
Shakeela, in her latest interview, revealed several intimate secrets about her personal life, including her sex life. When quizzed about her sexual relationships, Shakeela said that she would not reveal the name of her partner but said that she experienced the ‘best’ with him. Shakeela also revealed about her romantic relationships with several men, starting from her early age of 10 years.
The actress further said that she, just like many other actresses in the film industry, entered films with the dreams of becoming a star. However, she had to take the adult film route because of her poor family conditions. Also, she always loved the skimpy and glamorous clothes she was wearing for her roles in those films, which was another reason for her to continue acting in adult films.
The actress says that filmmakers from Tamil and Kannada industries are encouraging her by offering good roles but lamented that most Telugu filmmakers are shying away from roping her in their films as they are worried that their film’s ‘color’ will change with Shakeela’s presence. Shakeela, who already wrote er autobiography in Malayalam, is currently directing a Kannada film which is due for its release soon.
