Actor Rana Daggubati said he had to shed few kilos to look like Nara Chandrababu Naidu in the ‘NTR’ biopic.
“Cutting down my weight is the only thing I needed to do when essaying the role of Chandrababu Naidu as per the character demand,” quipped Rana.
“NTR and Chandrababu are icons who are popular across the nation and it’s a great opportunity to play a little part in ‘NTR’ biopic,” added Rana.
But he clarified that politics is not his thing because it is a different ideology about building communities and getting to know about people. For him telling stories is priority.
Rana is also doing few period drama films and with one of the movies, he is stepping into Malayalam film industry.
With ‘Marthanda Varma: The King of Travancore’ Rana is going to make his Mollywood debut.
“The film is based on the Malayali ruler of 18th century and he is the first Asian King to have defeated the Dutch East India company. Not many know about him and it is one more exciting project,” said Rana.
