Special Status : Telugus Shock GVL in US

Telugu people in the US seems to be standing as good example. After showing their ire to Chiranjeevi and other Telugu stars in the US recently for not speaking for the Special Category Status, now BJP leader from Andhra GVL Narasimha Rao received the heat.

GVL had made tall statements very recently against Special Category Status and Andhra Pradesh. He had said BJP is “willing” to give the benefits “equivalent” to the Special Category Status but AP government is “not accepting” and alleged TDP government of hampering development of AP while BJP is trying to. GVL also warned TDP leaders to ready to face the consequences for fighting against the BJP.

Noting all his words and rhetorics, Telugus in the US gave befitting shock to Narasimha Rao who came to participate in a BJP prorgam conducted in Edion of New Jersey state in the US. People who attended the event have questioned GVL on Special Category Status, Special Railway Zone to Vizag, Steel Plant to Kadap and other bifurcation promises that were failed to deliver the bJP, GVL tried to avoid by giving lame excuse and tried to boast that the Centre had done so much to Andhra Pradesh. He reiterated that BJP “gave a lot of funds” but alleged TDP of “misusing” them.

However, Narasimha Rao seriously had no answers on BJP going back on its promises and with the audience no mood to calm down, the organizers had to send a few people to leave the place and continued the event. Even still, GVL hadn’t have a pleasant experience which forced him to cut short his speech and leave the place.

Overall, the spirit of Telugu people in the US is getting appreciation from all corners. Recently, BJP national chief Amit Shah also faced ire of the people of Tirupati during his visit to Tirumala shrine. Looks like, BJP is going to have tough time in AP.
