As Indian film fraternity and fans are yet to come to terms with the tragic and untimely death of legendary actress Sridevi, who passed away in Dubai late Saturday night, here is some light on what she was planning to do minutes before her death.
According to reports, Sridevi was prepping up for a ‘surprise’ dinner date with her husband Boney Kapoor, when the tragedy happened.
On Saturday, Boney Kapoor returned from Mumbai, went to Sridevi’s room in a Dubai hotel at around 5.30 pm, and reportedly invited her for a surprise dinner date. The actress went to bathroom to have a shower in order to get ready for the dinner. However, she suffered a cardiac arrest in the bathroom and was discovered by her husband 15 minutes later lying motionless in the bathtub.
Boney tried to revive her, but when he failed to do so, he called a friend and later informed the police. Sridevi was declared dead by the paramedics who arrived shortly.
According to the latest reports, Sridevi’s mortal remains will be brought to India in a private jet sent by industrialist Anil Ambani after the formalities are done. Her final rites ceremony will take place later in the day.
