Sukumar on ‘Gollabhama’ Controversy

Mega Powerstar Ram Charan’s ‘Rangasthalam’ is all set for a grand release on March 30, 2018. Makers of this film have released 3 singles and each of them received a phenomenal response and the full jukebox is out in the market.

As the ‘Rangasthalam’ unit is gearing up for a grand pre-release event in Vizag RK Beach on March 18, producers Ravishankar & Naveen along with director Sukumar held a press meet today in Hyderabad.

While the interaction between the media & the unit was in progress, a journalist asked Sukumar about ‘Rangamma Mangamma’ song controversy. For the people who are unaware, Mr Ramulu Yadav, President of Yadav community demanded the removal of the word ‘Gollabhama’ from the song ‘Rangamma Managamma’. He said that the women in their community are hurt by that particular word.

Responding to the journalist, Sukumar said, “Gollabhama means Grasshopper, people shouldn’t derive different meaning for no reason”. Chandrabose is the lyricist and Devi Sri Prasad has composed music for Rangasthalam.
