Not long ago, erstwhile Tollywood hero and presently character actor Suman expressed his desire to enter politics in Telangana through Telangana Rashtra Samithi.A couple of months ago, Suman met the TRS bosses, including K T Rama Rao and lavished praises on the TRS government.
He declared that he was interested in joining TRS, if chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao gave him an opportunity.Though he did not specifically mention whether he was interested in contesting the next elections, he said it was up to the party to use his services as per party requirements.
“I will be forever indebted to KCR for working for the betterment of Telugu people at large and Telangana people in particular,” he said. However, Suman seems to have changed his mind now. May be he was upset that the TRS leadership did not even consider his name while releasing the list of candidates for the ensuing assembly.
So, he dumped Telangana and the TRS and is now looking up to Andhra Pradesh politics. And he is learnt to have chosen Telugu Desam Party to test his fortunes. He is learnt to have approached TDP president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu through senior actor and MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna and got the green signal.
If everything works out, Suman might contest the next assembly elections from Repalle in Guntur district, to take on YSR Congress party candidate Mopidevi Venkataramana.Interestingly, Suman was also all praise for Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan, during an interview with a television channel some time ago.
He said Pawan was sincere with a lot of craze among the youth and that he had a very bright future in politics.
May be, he also placed a kerchief in Jana Sena, if he does not get positive response in the TDP!
