National-award winning actress Sweta Basu Prasad, who recently got caught in a sex scandal, has broken her silence, and spoke about her sagging career, turn of events that ended her into vicious trade. The fading actress claimed that she’s bankrupt and that forced her to take up “flesh trade”.
Sweta in her statement said, “I have made wrong choices in my career, and I was out of money. I had to support my family and some other good causes. All the doors were closed, and some people encouraged me to get into prostitution to earn money. I was helpless, and with no option left to choose, I got involved in this act. Iâm not the only one who faced this problem, and there are several other heroines who have gone through this phase.”
Sweta was booked in a high-profile sex racket at a star hotel on Sunday, August 31 along with her assistant Balu, along with few other businessmen. However, this is not first time that Sweta was caught red-handed. Earlier, she was caught in a sting-operation done by a news channel which Sweta later denied.
Sweta made her slashy debut as child actress in films like Makdee and Iqbal. She clinched national-award for her performance in 2002 film Makdee. Later Sweta starred in a handful of Hindi films before debuting into T-town. Kotha Bangaru Lokam was her shot to fame. The talented beauty’s career is on a downward spiral and hit rock bottom. Sweta even shook her legs for raunchy item songs.
