Among the star heroes we have, Ram Charan enjoyed unique craze a couple of years ago for being a consistent hero. Whether his films are hits or flops, they collected more than 40+ crores share. But things changed rapidly for him as the mass image got dented by some rusty movies.
If we look at the current set of his competitors, we have to say that NTR and Allu Arjun are the main guys in the league, while Mahesh is their senior. Both NTR and Allu Arjun managed to check-in into that 70+ crores ‘share’ club recently. While Mahesh and NTR have two 80+ crore films, Allu Arjun scored two back to back 70+ crores hits. In the meantime, Charan’s Dhruva made only 55+ crores as the film didn’t penetrate into masses well. Though Charan has Magadheera in kitty, that’s a decade old story now.
To merit his figures, Charan got two golden chances at the moment. The first one is Sukumar’s Rangasthalam movie and it has the potential to do exceptionally well with masses if the village based story clicks big time. Easily the film will end up in 70+ crores category if it gets the above-average talk.
The second film is Boyapati Sreenu’s film, provided with Charan allows the director to come up with something like that of a Sarrainodu. If that happens, then surely the film will end up in 70 crore club no matter how the story is, because Charan is a mass star and Boyapati is king of catching mass pulse.
Will Charan merit his chances and join their colleagues? Let’s see.
