Upset with the continuous disruptions in the Rajya Sabha, Chairman and Vice President Venkaiah Naidu has cancelled the dinner which he had planned to host for the Rajya Sabha MPs on March 21.
Apparently, all the necessary arrangements for the dinner have been made well in advance and even the invitation cards were printed and Venkaiah Naidu had reportedly called the President Kovind, PM Modi, the leader of the house, the Opposition leaders, floor leaders of various parties.
But after the Rajya Sabha witnessed ruckus on 12th straight day in the Upper House inviting the wrath from Venkaiah. Apparently, the specialist cooks who were supposed to come from Andhra Pradesh were told to cancel their train reservation due to the cancel of the dinner.
This is after MPs from AP, Telangana, Tamil Nadu protested in the house on Tuesday against Special Category Status, Reservations, Cauvery water row respectively on 12th straight day. Earlier last week, due to the same reason, Naidu refund to inaugurate the Badminton tournament of MPs at Constitution club.
