Upset Over Special Category Status, 14-Yr-Old Commits Suicide

In a disturbing incident, a 14-year-old young student has claimed his valuable life. Upset over the denial of the Special Category Status that was promised by former Prime Minister to the new state of Andhra Pradesh on the floor of Parliament, student Mahendra from Kurnool’s Done took the drastic step. Mahendra was said to be deeply upset that his elder brother didn’t get a job due to the denial of the Special Category Status.

In his suicide note, the young boy had opined that his brother would have got a job had the Centre granted the Special Category Status to AP. He has also demanded for the SCS for the new state that is troubled with deficit-budget.

Cops have found the suicide note and seized it. Several political leaders have paid tributes to Mahendra and consoled the bereaved family. Congress leader Raghuveera Reddy visited the family members and handed over Rs 3 Lakh to the family.

He demanded the state government to announce an ex gratia of Rs 20 Lakh to the family along with a government job to his brother. Raghuveera, who spoke to media later, stated that AP would get Special Category Status as soon as Rahul Gandhi becomes the Prime Minister. He also said that Rahul would waive off the agricultural loans after he comes to power.
