After striking a dominant century against Bangladesh on the first day of the ongoing Test in Hyderabad, Kohli went on to convert it into a double ton on Friday. In this process, the young champ has become the only cricketer to score four double hundreds in four consecutive Test series. All these double tons have come in a span of just 7 months. Interestingly, before June 2016, he had not even one double century to his name.
Kohli struck his first double century in June last year against West Indies. His next double tons came in the series against New Zealand and England. Bangladesh has become the latest cricket playing side to witness the record creating double ton of Kohli unfold before their gloomy eyes. Kohli is already regarded as arguably the finest modern era batsman coming to the shorter formats of the game. Now, he is posing threat to the smash the records of Test format as well.
