Why ABN Shouldn’t Be Telecast In Telangana?

Supreme Court on Monday set notices to Telanagna and Union Government over blackout of ABN-Andrajyothy channel in Telangana state and asked in its notice why ABN channel shouldn’t be telecast in Telangana. 
Supreme Court today heard two petitions alleging violation of rights by Government in directing MSOs blackout the channel and after hearing passed notices to Telangana government, Union Government, MSOs and other 15 players. 
It also passed notices to all district collectors, Hyderabad CP, MSO association asking them to reply with in three weeks. Court agreed with ABN’s argument that the ban violated constitutional rights. It agreed that though MSOs are private persons they should abide by the constitution.
