“Kirrak Party”, a college backdrop romantic entertainer is all set to release this Friday. Taking all the positive factors into account, the film has good chances of scoring at box office.
First of all, the youth-targeted film is the remake of a blockbuster Kannada film. The film has reportedly been remade with subtle changes, to suit the sensibilities of Telugu audiences and without losing soul of the original.
Audiences are hungry for good films because of the theatre bandh and lack of any decent film for past few weeks. If Kirrak Party gets even decent talk, it can take advantage of the dry period. The film anyway has the advantage of being the first notable release after theatre bandh.
Makers played a safe game by selling the theatrical rights for a very recoverable price, around 10 Cr. Nikhil’s films can do around 15 Cr business if they get hit talk, and even his flops collect about 7-8 Cr. So, there is no big target for the film.
Nikhil has huge confidence on Kirrak Party. He believes that it could become another ‘Happy Days’ kind of success for him. Hence, the young hero is actively promoting the film, taking it into youth by visiting selected colleges across the twin Telugu states. These promotions will surely come handy.
All these factors put together, Kirrak Party has good chances to strike gold at box office.
