YSRC not in hurry to join hands with Pawan!

Notwithstanding the outburst of power star and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan against the Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, the YSR Congress party wants to go cautiously before extending friendly hand to the actor. The party leadership was very much embarrassed with the statement of its Tirupati MP V Varaprasada Rao on Thursday that he had spoken to Pawan and the latter had assured to extend support to YSRC after the elections.

He even said the YSRC and Jana Sena would fight together for achieving special category status.YSRC president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is learnt to have felt that the MP’s statement had given a weapon to the TDP for launching an offensive. As expected, Naidu alleged that both YSRC and JSP had a secret understanding with the BJP, which was trying to play Tamil Nadu type of politics to destabilise the TDP government.

He even went to the extent of saying that Pawan was parroting what Jagan was alleging all these days and was reading out the script prepared by Jagan’s media house Sakshi.Varaprasad got a dressing down from Jagan and he immediately retracted his statement, saying he never said he had met Pawan Kalyan. He accused a section of media of distorting what he said.

It is learnt Jagan wants to wait and watch to know Pawan’s course of action before making any comment on the latter. Apparently, he feels that Pawan’s aggressiveness was meant to split the anti-establishment vote. And Pawan’s announcement of taking up fast-unto-death came as real shock to the YSRC as Jagan feels the actor might walk away with the credit of fighting for special category status!
