Disney Adventure is all set to make a spectacular debut, with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan lending his iconic voice to the grand fireworks show “The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky” during the cruise’s inaugural sailing from Singapore on March 10.

According to an official announcement by Disney Cruise Line, Shah Rukh Khan will serve as the narrator for the show aboard Disney Adventure, the newest addition to Disney Cruise Line’s fleet. With his signature storytelling style, Khan will guide guests through an emotional and magical journey inspired by one of Disney’s most beloved classics.

Expressing his excitement, Shah Rukh Khan said that The Lion King holds a very special place in his heart. Having earlier voiced Mufasa in the Hindi versions of The Lion King (2019) and Mufasa (2024), he described this opportunity as a “full-circle moment” and a true passion project. He added that Celebration in the Sky beautifully captures themes of bravery, hope, family, and community—values that perfectly align with the magical experience awaiting guests onboard the Disney Adventure.

Based on the timeless Disney classic, “The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky” will bring families and friends together on the ship’s open deck for a breathtaking visual spectacle. The show will combine stunning fireworks, dramatic lighting, and iconic music to create an unforgettable experience. Audiences can look forward to beloved songs such as Circle of Life, Hakuna Matata, He Lives in You, and Can You Feel the Love Tonight?

The musical score has been specially arranged and recorded by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, featuring the powerful harmonies of South Africa’s Ndlovu Youth Choir, adding a global and soulful touch to the production.

Welcoming Shah Rukh Khan onboard, Disney Cruise Line executives said that his association brings a unique and meaningful dimension to the experience. The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky will be featured on select evenings during both three-night and four-night voyages. The Disney Adventure, Disney Cruise Line’s first Asia-based ship, is designed to offer an immersive vacation experience with world-class entertainment, dining, retail, and activities—ensuring there’s something magical for everyone onboard.
