Mani Ratnam & AR Rahman Reunite, Rumors End

Speculation about a possible fallout between Mani Ratnam and his long-time collaborator A. R. Rahman has now been firmly put to rest.
Rahman is set to compose music for Ratnam’s upcoming film, which stars Vijay Sethupathi and Sai Pallavi in the lead—marking the director’s first collaboration with both actors.
There had been recent buzz that Mani Ratnam might opt for a younger composer like Sai Abhyankar, who gained attention with Dude and is currently working on Atlee–Allu Arjun’s upcoming project. However, Ratnam has now shut down those rumors by continuing his iconic partnership with Rahman.
Following the underperformance of Thug Life starring Kamal Haasan, the veteran filmmaker appears to be moving swiftly ahead with his next venture without taking a break.
The new film will be jointly produced by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies, with Sony Music India acquiring the audio rights.
