Sai Pallavi’s Bollywood Debut Mere Raho Likely Postponed to July 2026

After a relatively quiet year marked by a single Telugu release through Naga Chaitanya’s blockbuster Thandel, acclaimed South Indian actress Sai Pallavi is gearing up for a high-stakes 2026 with a significant expansion into Bollywood. The actress is set to make her Hindi film debut and strengthen her pan-India presence with two major projects scheduled within a short span.

While Ranbir Kapoor’s ambitious mythological epic Ramayana has already generated massive buzz—especially with Sai Pallavi stepping into the iconic role of Sita Devi—her first test in the Hindi film industry will come earlier with Mere Raho. The film, which stars Junaid Khan and is backed by Aamir Khan Productions, marks her formal introduction to the Hindi audience.

Mere Raho was initially slated for an April 24, 2026 release as a summer offering. However, strong industry speculation suggests the makers may push the release to July 2026. Although there has been no official confirmation, the likely reason is to avoid a box-office clash with Salman Khan’s big-budget film Battle of Galwan, scheduled to release on April 17. Additionally, April and May 2026 are already crowded with prominent releases, limiting the scope for a clean summer window.

Given these constraints, the production house is reportedly considering a July release to ensure Mere Raho gets a solo run at the box office. The film is said to be a remake of the 2011 Korean romantic drama One Day and promises a strong visual appeal, having been shot during the Snow Festival in Sapporo, Japan.

The film’s reception will play a crucial role in shaping Sai Pallavi’s Bollywood journey. With Ramayana expected to draw nationwide attention, the critical and audience response to Mere Raho could significantly influence how North Indian audiences perceive her performance and screen presence ahead of the mythological spectacle. As expectations rise, 2026 appears to be a defining year for Sai Pallavi’s pan-Indian career.
